BIO​

My passion for drawing and storytelling emerged at an early age when I began making books from my mother’s grocery pads. Later I studied illustration at Washington University in St. Louis and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. I strive for a seamless blend of traditional and digital media featuring vibrant textures and quirky, whimsical characters. My art won the SCBWI-Midsouth Illustration Contest in 2010 and 2012, was included in the SCBWI 2014 Bologna Showcase, and has appeared in several decades’ worth of books, magazines, and educational materials.

I served as Illustrator Coordinator for SCBWI MD/DE/WV from 2016-2024.
